Research shows that freelancers will make up 40% of the American workforce by 2020, a trend expected to have a ripple effect globally (source: Intuit 2020 Report, published October 2010). While some might view this as increased competition, I personally see immense potential for synergistic collaborations. In the words of Halford E. Luccock, “No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it.”

The challenge, therefore, lies in finding partners of synergy to collaborate with. Whether it’s finding your audience, who appreciate your creative instincts and value your insights; or finding creators who will realize your vision and breathe life into your dream.

I envision a future where we’re able to devote ourselves to our individual creative pursuits, enriching our world by bringing to life artistic, cultural and innovative visions, but doing so with the support of a larger collective.
